Wednesday 14th period 6 & 7

Hi everyone, I am out of college today and you have work set for you.

Please follow this plan below:

1. On your blog create a new post: 'Media sectors and audience'

then...

2. Complete yellow booklet  (20 -30 mins)

now...

3. Analyse the video clips below and complete the following questions on your blog:

  • What are the denotations and connotations in all of these clips?
  • How is sound used in all of these clips (diegetic and non-diegetic) to create meaning?
  • Pick one video and describe how the Mise-en-scene helps to tell the narrative (story)
Remember, Mise-en-scene is: Setting, props, costume, expression, lighting.

Finally, pick one video and describe its target audience. Think about Age, Gender, Ethnicity (if applicable) and how the audience is positioned (remember how they are made to feel).

Then, and only then should you post to your blog!
